ITALY - Decree relating to registered trademarks administrative nullity and revocation actions published
The decree (19 July 2022 n. 180) relating to registered trademarks administrative nullity and revocation actions has been published on 29 November 2022 and will be in force as from 29 December 2022. This is a significant improvement, as it will provide quicker, more streamlined and economically efficient procedures to invalidate/revoke Italian registered trademarks that, until now, could only be invalidated/revoked via court actions. The procedure is cut out on the EUIPO's invalidation/revocation action procedure.
